About Milton Margai Technical University
Named after our nation's first Prime Minister, Sir Milton Margai, MMTU has evolved from a Teacher Training Department in 1960 to a premier Technical University. With a mission to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical industrial skills, we stand as the cornerstone of technical and vocational excellence.
Our Vision
MMTU aspires to be a premier Higher Educational Institution of learning and Research developing the capacities of trainees and relevant stakeholders in diverse fields, as a Technical University in Sierra Leone and the sub-Region advancing knowledge and skills through hands-on training in Engineering, Science, Hotel, Tourism and the Nutritional Sciences and Teacher Preparation.

Training and developing competent professionals to advance knowledge and skills and its practical application through Teaching, Research, Innovation, Dissemination of knowledge and contribute to Sustainable Development that will address the needs of our growing industries and the middle level manpower.
